Classroom presentations about AAC
Classroom presentations about AAC.
Want to teach your students about AAC? Don't know where to start? Here are a few options for you.
Option 1 - "What is AAC?" by Zuzel on Canva - go to Canva, go into Templates, and search for "What is AAC?" It's a great template! There's quite a bit of language, so it would probably be better for an intermediate/high school.
Option 2 - I used Zuzel's presentation as the base and added a couple things that one of my teams requested.
Here's a Canva link to my intermediate version of the "What is AAC?" presentation with a reference to playground communication boards. The Power Point file is linked below (updated 1 May 2026).
Here's a Canva link to a primary version of the "What is AAC?" presentation. I used a presentation put together by Ariel Fan (AAC SLP & Teacher from SET-BC) and merged it with Zuzel's presentation. The Power Point file is linked below (updated 1 May 2026).
Note: I use this presentation when I go into primary classrooms, so there is a reference to finding words on a talker. Just delete that slide if it doesn't apply to you.
Enjoy!
